Soft Butter Bread Recipe.

I can only promise that you’ll make this bread again and again and again. There is never enough!
  • All purpose flour 2 cups (extra for kneading)
  • Warm water 1/2 + 1/3 cup
  • Granulated sugar 3 tbsp
  • Yeast 1& 1/2 tsp
  • Melted butter/margarine 1/4 cup
  • Milk zest/vanilla flavor 1/2 tsp
  • Powder milk flavor 1/2 tbsp
  • Sachet powder milk (peak) 2
  • Egg for brushing

Procedure

  • Combine all of the ingredients together in a bowl.
  • After mixing everything together, pour the dough into your work surface/ kneading table. Knead for ten minutes.
  • Grease a bowl with oil. A bowl large enough for it to rise. Shape the dough into a ball, it does not have to be perfect because the dough will be super soft. Use your hand to slightly apply oil around the ball formed dough and place it in the bowl. Cover the bowl properly and allow it to rise for one hour.
  • Grease your bread pan. Rub fat round the pan and dust with flour.
  • After one hour, it should have doubled in size. Put the dough into your work table and gently punch it down. Form whatever shape you desire. I first rolled my dough with a rolling pin and then divided it into four. I rolled each of them (just like you’re rolling fish roll.)
  • Place the shaped dough into your greased pan. Cover for another thirty minutes and proof the dough.
  • Few minutes before the proofing time is over, preheat the oven.
  • Just before putting the bread in the oven, brush the top with egg.
  • After it has risen, bake depending on your oven temperature. Bake the bread on low heat.
  • After baking, brush the top with butter or margarine.
  • Remove from the pan and allow it to cool. Except you love hot or warm bread!!

Notes:

  • Ensure your yeast is active. You can proof it to be sure.
  • You’ll notice that there are some tiny brown speckles at the top of the bread. That was because in the middle of baking, I removed it from the oven and brushed it with egg before putting it back. You can absolutely skip this part!
